Simply, I feel so blessed because I get to do what I love. Everyday is an opportunity to coach individuals of all ages and fitness levels towards the betterment of human movement and performance. Since 2003, I have taken all my passion, experience, degrees and certifications and fulfilled a dream, owning SHRED CrossFit. I truly enjoy helping others achieve their health/wellness goals. When not coaching, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, Jenessa and two amazing daughters, Camille and Kinley.

I have been hooked on CrossFit since my first workout back in December 2010, when a friend brought me to Shred. That day the WOD happened to be the “Filthy Fifty”. Having a passion for CrossFit and helping others obtain their goals is what drove me in the spring of 2012 to earn my Certificate to become a Crossfit Level 1 trainer. When not coaching, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife Jenn and my awesome son Michael Jr.

I had always been an athlete growing up, but pushed it aside when my children were first born, putting their needs above everything My journey back to finding that athlete again led to my changed perspective on health and fitness. I started valuing myself and my needs and became a better mother, wife, friend and teacher. I became passionate about nutrition and how to fuel my body for optimal health. Friends introduced me SHRED CrossFit as a way to enhance my training as a runner. The SHRED CrossFit community fueled my competitive drive in a such a fun atmosphere, I couldn't wait to come back and see what my body was capable of. I'm excited to share my passion of nutrition and CrossFit with others at SHRED. Outside of Shred, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family (especially hiking), running, and teaching preschool and cheering on the Buckeyes!

After years of inactivity I ballooned to 466lbs, through education on nutrition, supplementation and Crossfit, I was able to take on my issues and conquer them. I have lost close to 200lbs in my journey and now want to pay it forward by passing on my knowledge to others and assist them in any way I can. Shred Crossfit was such a huge part of my transformation and I feel completely honored to be a part of such a great place! I have enjoyed sharing with my family who all work out with me now and in our spare time, we love watching football and hanging out with friends.
